VR-Engage is a simulation platform that provides immersive first person role player stations for training and simulation exercises. As part of the MAK One suite, VR-Engage integrates VR-Vantage for visualization, VR-Forces for backend simulation, and VR-Link for network interoperability. This guide provides developers with the information needed to customize and extend VR-Engage through plugin development and role configuration.
For end-user documentation including controller mappings, entity configurations, and operational procedures, see the VR-Engage User Guide.
VR-Engage integrates three core MAK One products, each documented separately:
VR-Vantage - Visualization platform providing VR-Engage's rendering and display capabilities
VR-Forces - Simulation engine providing VR-Engage's backend entity modeling and autonomous behavior
VR-Link - Network middleware enabling DIS and HLA interoperability
These guides provide context for understanding VR-Engage's underlying architecture and extending functionality beyond the player station framework.
