The tracked-movement system is a system of sensor, controller, and actuator components that comprise the movement model for ground vehicles.

This system is configured on several entity types in VR-Forces, such as the M1A2 and BMP2 entities.

Defined in system definition file: ground-tracked.sysdef

This system can be configured as part of a Ground Vehicle.

9.9.1 Components

The figure below shows what systems and simulation components are configured as part of the tracked-movement system. The boxes (nodes) represent indivdiual DtSimComponent classes. The edges connecting the boxes indicate port or port group connections between components.

9.9.1.2 Controllers

• DtGroundJoyMoveController – Control movement through a joystick.
• DtWaitController – Stop moving and wait.
• DtGroundCollisionAvoidanceController – Try to avoid potential collisions with obstructions.
• DtGroundMoveToControllerComponent – Execute move-to <waypoint> tasks.
• DtGroundMoveToLocationControllerComponent – Execute move-to-location tasks.
• DtGroundMoveAlongControllerComponent – Execute move-along route tasks.
• DtGroundPatrolRouteController – Execute patrol-along-route tasks.
• DtGroundPatrolBetweenController – Execute patrol-between <waypoint> tasks.
• DtGroundFollowEntityController – Follow another entity.
• DtGroundTurnToControllerComponent – Turn to desired heading.

• DtPathMovementController – Plan a path to a goal, using A* algorithm.

9.9.1.3 Actuators

If you modify the system definition file, or any of the components it contains, multiple entity types may be affected. All entity types that include this system in its parameter database file will be modified.
