Settings Manager Extension (settingsManagerSim)

The Settings Manager Extension example demonstrates the following:

• How to install a new settings manager to maintain a new file
• How to add settings to the existing file (vrfSim.xml)

Since this example is loaded as a plugin, it can be used in conjunction with the released VR-Forces application

How to Run the Example

This example demonstrates how to install your own settings manager.

Usage

1. In a command prompt, navigate to the VR-Forces bin directory and start the backend launcher using "vrfLauncher -B".
2. In the launcher, set the settingsManager plugin to load, and then start VR Forces using the preconfigured DIS connection (rather than "DIS localhost").
3. Start settingsManagerRemoteDIS.exe from the command prompt.

After starting, the settingsManagerRemote executable will connect to the sim engine and demonstrate remotely changing and querying some test settings added by the plugin.
