2.4 - Connecting to an Exercise

VR-Link applications connect to an exercise through an exercise connection.

Exercise connections are implemented through the class DtExerciseConn. Higher level VR-Link classes use the DtExerciseConn to set and receive state information and other data. The member functions of DtExerciseConn allow an application to do the following:

• Send interactions to the exercise
• Read input from the network
• Generate event IDs
• Register callback functions that are executed each time VR-Link receives interactions and other input from the network
• Manage the simulation clock.
