The DtGeoidDatum class represents a geoid model of the Earth, where the model reflects the shape that the ocean surface would take under the influence of the gravity and rotation of the Earth.

DtGeoidDatum can be used in conversions between geocentric and geodetic coordinates to help find the difference in mean sea level (MSL) between the WGS84 ellipsoid and the selected geoid model. The difference in MSL between the ellipsoid and geoid models affects the altitude of entities in the simulation.

VR-Link provides implementations for the common geoid models used with various resolution options. The supported geoid types are the Earth Gravitational Models, EGM84, EGM96, and EGM2008. Each supported geoid type is defined in the DtGeoidType enumeration.

Geoid support is only enabled for newer compilers that support C++14.
