The ground armor system is a system of a sole actuator components that models how an armored vehicle takes damage from direct and indirect fire.

This system is configured on a number of entity types in VR-Forces, such as the M1A2 and BMP2 entities.

Defined in system definition file:  ground-heavy-armor.sysdef

The tracked-movement system can be configured as part of a Ground Vehicle.

Components that Make Up the Ground Armor Damage System

The figure below shows which systems and simulation components are configured as part of the ground armor damage system. Note that the damage system accepts input and produces output.  It acts as a wrapper around the individual damage component contained within. The dotted lines show the input and output connections between the damage component and the system. These connections are internal to the system. The solid lines indicate that public connections are available to connect this system to outside components and/or systems.
