the UserData field associated with control objects is a string, so all data desired to be stored in this field must be converted back and forth from a single string this method translates the token-separated userdata string into numerical data appropriate to parameter one and parameter two and populates the appropriate dialog fields with them

since the create shape dialog does not have a single explicit "create" event, we need to populate the handler with userdata whenever new parameter data is entered. This method is called by the dialog upon entry of any new parameter data and sends the new information along to the handler

this method populates an edit dialog with object information. since the base logic class does not have any provisions to transport userdata from the handler, we here override, calling the base class method and then pulling userdata from the handler & populating the parameter dialog fields

The base logic class has a pointer the the base dialog class (DtShapeObjectDefinitionDialog) called myInterface. We instantiate the derived dialog class DtCustomControlObjectDefinitionDialog and set the myInterface pointer of the base logic class to the derived dialog.
