Macro Definition Documentation

#define DtDECLARE_DEFINE_SMART_PTR (   ClassName)

Creates a class called <ClassName>Ptr to point to an object of a class called <ClassName> derived from DtObserver.

This class is a smart pointer because it knows when the object it points to has been deleted (via cooperation with DtObservee). Restricts the general startObserving() and stopObserving() by making them protected since semantically a pointer should only point to one object, and the other member function operate on just one pointed at object. You use DtDECLARE_DEFINE_SMART_PTR to create a class derived from DtObserver which restricts observing to a single instance of DtObservee and provides pointer semantics regarding the observed object's presence.
