Detailed Description

A DtGlobalObjectDesignator is an identifier that can be used to describe an object when communicating among simulations in DIS PDUs or HLA objects or interactions.

In DIS, the Global Object Designator is the entity ID. In HLA, it is a DtString denoting an object name when using RTI 1.3, or an HLA ObjectID when using RTI 1.0.3. This class was created as a hack so that the simple encoders and decoders will work for DtGlobalObjectDesignators. However, it is not correct to give all RTI Object Designators a fixed size of 64 bytes. VR-Link's lgrControl, stealth view control, and isPartOf struct currently use this class, but in general these are special cases and it should never be used.
