Detailed Description

The vl library contains classes and functions which represent protocol independent simulation concepts.

This library is a helper library to VL, but may be used independently if needed.

Function Documentation

DT_DLL_VLPROTIND char* DtDecodingBuffer ( unsigned int  requestedLength)

DtDecodingBuffer returns a pointer to a chunk of memory requestedLength long which can be used for decoding buffers.

The buffer can not be deleted. The Buffer is thread safe, different threads will get different buffers. If the return value is not 0, then the buffer will be at least requestedLength long, however it may be longer. Function returns 0 when the buffer can not be set to the requested size.
