9.3 - Rotary-wing Default Armor System

Table of Contents

The rotary-wing default armor system is a system of one actuator component that models how a rotary-wing entity takes damage from direct and indirect fire.

This system is configured on several entity types in VR-Forces, such as the AH-64A Apache entity.

Defined in system definition file: rotary-wing-default.sysdef

This system can be configured as part of a Rotary-wing Entity.

9.3.1 Components that Make Up the Rotary-wing Default Armor System

The figure below shows which systems and simulation components are configured as part of the rotary-wing armor damage system. Note that the damage system accepts input and produces output. It acts as a wrapper around the individual damage component contained within. The dotted lines show the input and output connections between the damage component and the system. These connections are internal to the system. The solid lines indicate that public connections are available to connect this system to outside components and/or systems.
